Historic Burlington County, named one of the 100 most liveable counties by Outside Magazine, is surrounded by Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, and Camden counties, and is New Jersey’s largest county and one of the most agricultural counties in the U.S. Known for its Pinelands and other recreational opportunities (including Six Flags), Burlington County is home to high-tech businesses and office parks; in fact, the county welcomed over 2600 businesses in the last decade. Public rail/bus transportation and excellent highways (295, New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Collegeway, etc.) provide access to the rest of New Jersey, the Philadelphia region, and New York. Residents of its 40 municipalities enjoy an array of housing choices as well as the great variety of shopping (especially antiquing), dining, and recreational activities available close to home.
