Life in Fitler Square
Fitler Square is a relatively quiet, residential neighborhood on the western side of Philadelphia. Residents enjoy walking on tree-lined streets, volunteering to care for the Fitler Square garden and walking their dogs in Schulkill River Park. Rental options include townhomes, 3 and 4 story brownstones and a few loft-style apartments. If you choose to live here, dry cleaners, neighborhood-style restaurants, cafes and prepared food stores will be a few blocks from your door. Because of its proximity to the University of Pennsylvania, Fitler Square attracts many members of the Penn community, CHOP and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Many professional who walk to their Center City offices call Filter Square home. Because of its proximity to Amtraks 30th Street station, some residents commute to New York City (which takes them about 1.5 hours!).
